SOUTHERN NETWORK SERVICES PERMANENT DISCONNECTIONS

Permanent Disconnections of Power are Permanent.
If you request a permanent power disconnection, the electricity power connection to your property will be permanently disconnected from Orion the Lines Company's network. To reconnect power to your property in the future you will need to complete the Connection process. When making this application for a Permanent Disconnection please ensure this is the correct process and that you are not after a temporary isolation only.
To complete this process you will need:
The ICP number: This is the number the Power industry uses to identify your connection. It is found on you power account and it will usually be labelled on adjacent/near your power meter. The ICP number looks something like this 0001234567RN1AB.
The Street Address: Where the Permanent Disconnection is to be completed.
Processing the Request
You will need to make a request to the Electricity Retailer assigned to this ICP number. We will identify the assigned Retailer for you, after we have received your application by clicking the link below.
Scheduling
Expected dates for disconnecting power will depend on our availability and how long it takes for the disconnection approval to be issued to us. Once we have received the approval to disconnect we can permanently disconnect your power.
Costs
There is generally no cost to you for this service. In some instances there may be a fee from your Power Retailer. For more complicated commercial decommissions there may be costs to remove the equipment, we will make you aware of any costs if there are any prior to works.
